Taylor is the Founder, President, and Director of Athletic Development at AHP. Taylor, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association has worked with athletes at all levels: from youth sports to the professional ranks.
A former college pitcher, Taylor's shoulder injury led him into the field of strength and conditioning. While he has a wide knowledge base, he specializes in program design, maximum strength and power development, post-rehab, and athletic performance.
Taylor spent four years, from 2012 to 2016 as the Co-Head Coach and Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Prospects Baseball Academy. He also spent four years, from 2015 to 2018 as the Head Coach of the 18U Edmonton Cardinals, who he guided to a 2016 Provincial Championship. Prior to that he served as the Associate Head Coach for the 18U St. Albert Cardinals, who he helped capture a 2013 Western Canadian Championship, a 2014 Provincial Championship, and a 2014 National Championship Runner-Up.
Connor is the Hitting Coordinator, as well as the Co-Head Coach for the AHP Baseball Academy. He is also currently the Head Coach for the Sherwood Park 18U AAA Dukes. Connor was the Assistant Coach for the Edmonton Collegiate Trappers from from 2019 to 2021. Connor played college baseball for Garden City CC and then Emporia State University. Connor holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management.
Ethan is the Pitching Coordinator, as well as the Co-Head Coach for the AHP Baseball Academy. Ethan brings a wealth of experience to the table. Most recently, he was the Pitching Coach for the Edmonton Riverhawks, of the West Coast League, for their inaugural 2022 season. Prior to that he was the Head Coach of the 18U AAA Sherwood Park Dukes from 2019 to 2021, and also served as the Head Coach for the Edmonton Collegiate Baseball Club from 2017 to 2021. Before coaching, Ethan enjoyed a successful professional minor league pitching career that spanned seven years. He spent time in the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations, after being drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2011.
Jake is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. While completing his internship in the summer of 2021, and working part-time at AHP following that, he played baseball for the Edmonton Collegiate Hawks while completing his Bachelor of Exercise Science from the University of Alberta. He also was an Assistant Coach for the 18U AAA Sherwood Park Dukes the past two summers, serving under fellow AHP coach, Connor Burns
Erik is currently a pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization. He was drafted by them in the 2018 MLB Draft after an All-American Season for Cloud County CC. He is fresh off an excellent season in AA and the Arizona Fall League, where he had a combined 2.27 ERA, 44 strikeouts in 32 innings, while giving up just a measly 17 hits.
Erik works with our pitchers, hitters, and athletes in the weight room.
Bo has been a steady presence at AHP for two years now, following completing an internship here. He holds his Personal Fitness Trainer diploma from NAIT.
Bo played college baseball at Okanagan College and Clarke University. In his spare time he is an avid, national-level slo pitch player.
Clayton enters his second season as the Rustlers Black Academy Head Coach.
He had an excellent collegiate baseball career as an outfielder, first at Cloud County CC, and then NCAA DI Stephen F. Austin University. He also earned West Coast League All Star Honours playing for his hometown Edmonton Riverhawks.
J.T. is currently the Head Coach of the 15U AAA Pac Saints. Prior to this, he spent three years as the Assistant Coach for the 18U AAA St. Albert Raiders. He has been coaching in St. Albert for the past seven years in various roles. He has been the Head Coach at the 16U AAA and 15U AA levels. J.T. has worked extensively with Hockey Alberta at both the U13 and U16 levels, and holds his High Performance 1 Coaching Cert.
Growing up, JT played with the Raiders club and PAC Saints program before moving on the University of Alberta to obtain his education degree. He is currently a teacher at Bellerose Composite High School.
Nick Prkusic has spent the past two summers coaching AHP hockey athletes. Prior to that his coaching experience includes a year as an Assistant Coach for the perennial powerhouse Brooks Bandits. He is currently still playing professional hockey, spending the past two seasons in Glasgow, Scotland and the East Coast Hockey League.
Nick had an excellent amateur career, captaining the Brooks Bandits before going on to have a strong career at NCAA DI Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania.
Sean Erikson brings a wealth of coaching experience to AHP, having coached since 2004. Highlights include leading the 2016 Bantam AAA St. Albert Cardinals to a Provincial Championship, and his decade of commendable work with the Prospects Academy. He also served as the Head Coach of the Parkland Twins 18U AAA team and Parkland Twins Academy from 2020 to 2022.
Ty Wagar had a solid college baseball career for the Edmonton Collegiate Baseball Club (was a CCBC 1st Team Selection) before moving onto a career in teaching.
Ty spent the past several years as an Assistant Coach for the 18U AAA Sherwood Park Dukes. He is in his second season as a roving assistant coach with the AHP academy.
Matt Quartel has coached with AHP in some capacity since 2020. He works primarily with the baseball academy's hitters, catchers, and outfielders.
Matt played for NCAA DI University of Milwaukee. He is currently in his fourth year of Medical School at the University of Alberta.
Ryan is the Assistant Coach for the MacEwan University Griffins, in addition to workin as a skills coach with AHP.
In his collegiate career, he captained MacEwan University to back to back ACAC titles in 2017/2018, and is the all-time leading point scorer in program history. Growing up in Spruce Grove and finishing minor hockey with the PAC organization, he played two seasons in the SJHL before moving on to MacEwan from 2013-2018.
After his playing career, Ryan spent the 18-19 season as Assistant Coach for the Spruce Grove Saints of the AJHL. Ryan is extremely passionate about developing hockey players, and has a deep understanding of what it takes to get to the next level.
Brady Kobitowich enters his first year coaching with the AHP Baseball Academy, after a strong collegiate career, first at Cloud County CC in Kansas, and then at NCAA DI Niagara University, In New York. Brady also spent three summers pitching for the Edmonton Riverhawks.
Scott enters his second year with AHP as a pitching coach. He pitched briefly in the Can-Am League after pitching collegiately for University of Arkansas-Monticello after PBA in Lethbridge.
Scott holds his Bachelor's of Education from the University of Alberta.
Taylor Lotoski has been an on-ice skills coach with AHP since 2023.
He spent four years as the Assistant Coach for the U15 AAA St. Albert Sabres, which culminated with a Provincial Championship in 2024 as well as a runner-up finish in the John Reid Memorial Tournament.
Taylor played his minor hockey growing up in St. Albert and played in the AJHL and SJHL.
He's currently a full-time teacher.
Nicole Nelubowich brings a strong skillset and passion to developing on-ice hockey skills.
She enjoyed a fantastic career playing collegiate hockey for the University of Alberta Pandas, highlighted by captaining the team as well as winning a National Championship in 2010.
